Any tips for transporting the cake or cupcakes safely if I’m picking up?
Here are a few tips to ensure your cake (or other desserts) travel safely from our bakery to your home: Bring your order info: Have your order confirmation (order number and name) handy – either printed or on your phone. This helps us quickly retrieve your order when you arrive. Arrive on time: Try to arrive around the pickup time you selected. If it’s a busy day and we send you an “order ready” text a bit early, coming sooner is fine. If you’re running late the same day, no problem (we’ll keep it refrigerated), but do arrive before closing. Flat transport surface: Make sure your vehicle has a flat surface for the cake box. The best spot is usually the flattest part of your trunk or the floorboard. Car seats are not flat and can cause a cake to slide or tilt, so avoid placing cakes on a seat if possible. Also, clear the area of any loose objects that might roll or slide into the cake box. Drive carefully: Once the cake is in the car, drive gently. Avoid sharp turns, quick accelerations, and sudden stops. Even well-structured cakes can shift if jostled too hard. If it’s a warm day, keep the car cool (air conditioning on) to maintain the frosting – especially important for cakes with perishable fillings or whipped cream. Ask for help if needed: If your order is large or you have multiple boxes, don’t hesitate to ask our staff for help carrying things to your car. We’re happy to assist you in loading the items securely. It’s our pleasure to help ensure your treats get home in perfect condition! By following these tips, you’ll have the best chance of getting your desserts home safe and sound. We want them to be as beautiful at your house as they were when they left our bakery.
